Mizunara sticks are wooden accessories placed in a bottle to explore changes in aroma and flavour. They make a thoughtful addition to whisky displays, gifts and tasting conversations.
Our story began under the NiiMo brand in 2017. We source mizunara directly from Hokkaido and manage processing and dispatch in Minamiuonuma, Niigata. No preservatives are used.
Our retail sales through eBay have reached customers in 20 countries. We also sell on Amazon US and now welcome enquiries from overseas trade partners.

Original
A delicate expression, with floral and fruity notes. Toasted to bring out the wood’s character.
1-stick or 2-stick packs
Black
A fuller profile with notes reminiscent of caramel and chocolate. A distinct step into charred oak.

Original and Black together. An approachable way to discover the difference between toasted and charred oak.
2-stick pack: Original + Black
Alligator
Heavily charred for customers interested in a bolder oak character reminiscent of bourbon.

Peat
The charred surface is exposed to peat smoke for four hours, adding a smoky direction to the range.

For the standard 120 × 10 × 10 mm stick, one stick per approximately 700 mL of whisky is the starting guide.
- Add to the bottle.
Washing is normally unnecessary. If loose char is a concern, rinse lightly and dry before use.
- Follow the changes.
Changes may be noticeable after three days to a week. Check periodically; results vary.
- Choose your moment.
Remove the stick when the flavour suits you. This experience does not reproduce every process of barrel maturation.

Can I combine different products in one 30-pack lot?
Each lot contains one product and one pack size. You can select different products by ordering separate 30-pack lots.
Do the products contain alcohol?
No. These are wooden sticks for use in spirits. Alcohol is not included.
Can I view your existing retail listings?
